YOUNG WEASELS
by Icepick Phil

weasels pic The Young Weasels were a Denver based band featuring vocalist Steve Knutson (formerly with The Front) that eventually relocated to New York City in the early 80's. The group released one 45 7" single (see discography). An early version of the band was known as the Null Set. The group was an opening act for many of the touring punk bands that passed through Colorado like The Teardrop Explodes, Loverboy, and in their triumphant return to Denver in 1983,The Varve.

The Weasels were managed by the infamous Denver empresario Charley Brown. In many ways both the most popular and the most disliked of the early 80's bands the Wax Trax! Records endorsed Weasels left a wide mark on the Denver new wave scene.

The Young Weasels have a YouTube channel: check it out!!
