THE INSTANTS
Boulder based high energy band that migrated to the home base of guitarist Andy Kaps in the UK(!) before Joe Pope and brother, Jon Risk and Michael Hursey (drums) eventually ended up in the San Francisco bay area in the early eighties. They began performing around Boulder in early '79.

After some personnel changes this group became SST Records recording artists' Angst and released five LP's and several EP's for the well known California punk label. Check out their wiki. Here's a youtube featuring Jon on guitar, Joe on bass and Michael on drums.
